Pork Banh Mi
Roast pork in a crisp baguette with rich pâté, pickled carrot, fresh coriander and our house chili. Reviewers call it some of the best in Auckland.
Mug ‘n’ Bowl is a light, plant-filled cafe where morning eggs and flat whites share a menu with banh mi, steaming pho and traditional phin-filter coffee. Built around a real tree in the middle of the room, it is the kind of neighbourhood spot you end up coming back to.

By day Mug ‘n’ Bowl is an easy brunch spot: poached eggs, hash browns and proper coffee under soft rattan light. Look a little closer and there is a whole Vietnamese kitchen running alongside it, the banh mi, pho and bun bowls that keep locals coming back week after week.
The room itself does half the work. Sage walls, hand-patterned tile, hanging greenery and a living tree right in the centre give the place a calm that is hard to find on a busy morning. One visitor put it simply: the tree makes it feel warm and inviting.

A short, honest menu that moves from brunch classics into the heart of Vietnamese comfort food. Everything is cooked to order, so settle in.

Roast pork in a crisp baguette with rich pâté, pickled carrot, fresh coriander and our house chili. Reviewers call it some of the best in Auckland.

A slow-simmered broth poured over rice noodles, brisket and beef balls, finished with a tangle of herbs at the table.

Lemongrass chicken or grilled pork over rice vermicelli with roasted peanuts, garden herbs and a bright nuoc cham.

Poached eggs and silky hollandaise on golden hash browns with wilted spinach. The brunch side of the menu, served all day.
Also on the board: mama’s noodles, the Vietnamese pancake omelette, house chili oil and a rotating list of cakes. Menus can vary with the day, so just ask.

Crushed peanuts, a scatter of herbs, nuoc cham poured at the last second. The bun bowls arrive looking like a garden and taste like one too. Pair one with a house iced tea and you have found your new lunch.
We brew with a traditional phin filter, one cup at a time, dripping dark and slow over sweet condensed milk. It is the cà phê sữa đá our regulars order on repeat. Worth the wait, and worth doing right.
Prefer something lighter? There is a full espresso menu, the Earl grey yuzu tea reviewers love, and a fridge of house iced teas for warmer days.

A note from the builder
I am Si from ProperSites. I build a real, working site for a business before I ever pitch it, so what you are looking at is the actual thing, made for Mug 'n' Bowl Cafe & Eatery, not a template with your name dropped in or a quote for something that does not exist yet.
The site is yours to keep. It is was $997 $697 to make it live on your own domain, then $49 a month just keeps it hosted and looked after. Month to month, never a lock-in, and if you ever leave you take the site with you. Most builders are the opposite: stop paying and your site disappears. Not here.
